    All late hop addition APA...what constitutes "late?"

    I was thinking of doing an all Citra APA after listening to Jamils podcasts. This is what I came up with 10 lbs American 2-row 12oz Crystal 20 2oz Citra @10min 2oz Citra @0min Came out to around 34IBU. Anything you all would change or has anyone tried something like this. I was also toying...

    OG on IIPA was a little high...1.115

    You could always put it on Brett. It will break down more of the unfermentables, and then eat them drying it up. It might add a funk but could be something fun to play with.

    +++ abv

    I use a pound of cornsugar around 15 min in the boil to dry it out and bump up ABV. I also think that is what Austin Homebrew supply does when you elect to bump up the ABV 1%.

    10 gallon extract batch

    yeah im not sure why I just know they always say when scaling up and down to use brewing software because its not linear. try pluging the numbers into Hopville. They have free software to use online hopville.com I used them for a long time calculating recipes.

    10 gallon extract batch

    you need to put it into some brewing software because it is not a linear conversion unless you do 2 seperate 5 gallon batches.

    NB Cascade Mountain Imperial IPA and First Wort Hopping

    So I recently purchased this extract kit and some questions. It says to only do a 2.5 gallon boil. which than gives the estimated IBU's to be about 39 when entered into the Brewing Software. which seems a bit low for the Imperial IPA. However when I do the same calculations with brewing...

    Pliny the Elder extract kit help

    I would definitly move it to the secondary before dryhoping. Typically dry hoping you are looking for a cleaner/ clearer beer and getting it off the yeast cake will prevent from a soapy flavor developing. If your sanitation process is good as it should be there should be no real risk of...

    Saison Cottage House Saison

    Quick question? I was thinking of using some Citra instead of the Sorachi Ace, and then also adding some Citra around 5 or 10 min for some more aroma. I was also going to not add the fuggles at 60min. How would the combo of citra and fuggles be? Also to boost the lemon flavor I was thinking...
