I know this is an old thread, but I have a quick question. Scottland, do you have issues with trub getting under the sides of your 12" false bottom since it doesn't completely cover the bottom of your kettle?

Do you still have these? I may come take them off your hands.

Ok. I primarily mash in a Coleman chest cooler with a custom BIAB so I could probably just hold back some mash water, dunk my bag in the kettle for 10 minutes while I set up my march pump to transfer the wort back into the kettle, and be good to go at that point.

I will have to try this the next time I brew. What temp is the water you dunk your bag into?

For you oxy free users, does it leave behind much residue?

Congrats. I showed this to my SWMBO and she said that if we had a trailer to transport it, she'd be on board to get it. Only slightly relieved that you have it sold.

That reminds me of the Alton Brown turkey fryer method. I may have to pick one of those up for myself.
