Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Sorry, I may be a little late for this, but Auber makes a really nice sensor package, that unplugs and mounts in a TC right in the SS Brewtech. On their site it is under silicon bandgap sensors, you can select a few options, I selected the Tri-Clamp, and DS18B20. Works great, and it is really...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

I ordered from PCBS.io in early December, and it never left the fabrication stage. They wouldn't respond to anything that I sent them, and I had to open a dispute through paypal and wait again. I got refunded through paypal finally. I made my own board on some permanent prototype board, I don't...

My IPA what do y'all think of this?

Grain - I would nerf the brown and the mild malt, the others won't hurt. I would the crystal to 1lb and change to crystal 10 if you can get it. 47% 2-Row 47% Munich 6% Crystal 10L Hops - The hop additions aren't too bad, Pilot and Centennial work well for bittering. I would push the...

    Quick carb job?

Searching for galvanized finish beer taps

Plus one on Stealthcruiser's Idea. Ceramic media in a rock tumbler will give you a similar finish. Make sure you get full stainless taps though, Some are just chrome coated, and that will make one hell of a mess.

HELLO! Sestos D1S shutdown after temp reached... possible?

A PID Controller is meant to maintain a temperature closely. It should pulse the output attached to an ssr attached to your heating element on/off to hold a particular temperature set point. If your element isn't powerful enough to hold the temp set point you may be at 100% duty cycle and never...

    Is my beer finished?

Amylase enzymes won't help much at low temperatures (< 140s F). I have had a stuck batch before and used Glucoamylase, or Convertase Enzyme. It will convert starches to sugars at room temperatures. Be careful with this stuff if you are bottling because it will make your end gravity very low and...
