Gose: Keep away from "clean" beer and equipment?

Thanks Bleme and Marty. I have sour equipment and was just wondering if this style fell into that. Didn't even think about it being pre-boil. :mug:

Gose: Keep away from "clean" beer and equipment?

Hey all, I am thinking about getting a gose into the fermenter here in the next couple of weeks. I know that when using yeast with "bugs" that you want to keep the equipment separate from your "clean" equipment. My question is that when making a gose, do the same principles apply? The recipe I...

    Ball Lock Post Won't Tighten

It is definitely possible it's the wrong size. The gas side seems to be perfect.

    Ball Lock Post Won't Tighten

I would think that it's stripped as well but I put it on without too much force. The dip tube is the same one I was using before and it has a new o-ring on it. I'm using the poppet that came with the post. How would I know if it was wrong? Thanks

    Ball Lock Post Won't Tighten

Hey Brewers, I looked all over the site and was not able to find an answer to my question. If I missed the answer feel free to direct me to the thread. Anyway, I have a couple of older pin lock kegs. I just got a couple conversion kits for ball lock. I had taken my keg into Adventures in...

Will Cutting Back Extra shoots hurt a first year plant?

I've also have a few extra shoots. Can these be replanted if trimmed? Just something I was thinking about while checking my hops earlier. Cheers

    Accidental Oxidation

Yeah I got it sealed up now. I'll sit on it awhile. Like I said, I'm not great with off flavors yet. Maybe It's all in my head since I expected it to taste bad.

    Accidental Oxidation

So I made a grave mistake with my latest batch of beer. I thought I would get the forums thoughts. About 2 weeks ago I brewed an standard wheat beer recipe from Sicliano's in Grand Rapids, MI. Everything went great, no issues. Was really looking forward to having this beer. Fermentation...

Founder's - Devil dance Triple IPA - Cellar?

Hey there, Picked up a four pack of this stuff the other day. It's a 12% triple IPA. Typically it takes me a little while to get through a beer this big. I've always read that one should not cellar an IPA and are always better fresh. With a beer this size what do you guys think about letting a...

    Aerating Wort Question(s).

I was actually listening to an older BrewSmith with Chris Graham from MoreBeer. He said that with O2 no more than like 30 seconds for best results.

Anyone find White Labs WLP051 California V a bit slow to get started?

Same with me. I brewed a Blonde yesterday and I haven't had any activity to this point today. Usually my fermentations are up and going pretty quick. How did you pale turn out and how long before you saw some activity?
