    Don't Do That.

When your keg is way over-carbed, and you open the valve and you get sprayed with the foam all over your face and the t-shirt. Don't do that.

    Don't Do That.

When you turn the water on in an immersion chiller sitting in a boiling wort, and the other end of the hose is laying freely on the floor and you are hoping that this time it won't be shooting out the scalding hot, steamy water, in all directions, like it always does. Don't do that.

    What's your profession?

I'm a casino floor supervisor. Shuffle up and deal. I think I have a dirty mind, lol.

The easiest and cheapest mush tun ever

I don't know if anybody already used a bottling bucket spigot in building a mash tun, but I thought this was extremely easy and cheap to build. 1. Home Depot 5 gal cooler: $21.95, Home Depot 2. Bottling bucket spigot: $3.95, LHBS 3. 3/4 inch ss Water Heater Connector Line: $7.95, Home Depot 4...

    Kit Lab

As a matter of fact, they should start a partnership, HBT and Kit Lab, you could check out a recipe on HBT and click on "Buy it on Kit Lab", right next to the recipe. This way they both would be more successful and Kit Lab would have access to this huge community of home brewers.

    Kit Lab

I think it's just a thing of convenience. You can get someone's recipe from here, then you need to write it all down, buy everything separately, etc, etc. As opposed to just buy everything with just one click. I don't see Kit Lab as a danger for this forum at all. They are two different things...

    Kit Lab

I just read this about Kit Lab: http://www.myfoxchicago.com/story/28903134/homebrewers-partner-with-website-to-make-cash So you get cash if they use your recipe?

    Kolsch hop question

IMHO, yes, you can brew a good Kolsch w/ American Tettnang hops. Just watch your IBUs, as the American Tettnang gets to sit a little bit higher on the AA% scale. The taste and aroma tends to be very similar in both of those varieties.

How many gallons of Brandon O's Graff have been made?

    5 gal today. 3147+5=3152

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

I think I'll try this recipe next. Only instead of 2 lbs DME I would mash 3 lbs of 2-Row, together with 0.5 lbs of C-60 in a gallon of water.

    Keg dry hopping

This is my experience with dry hopping in a keg: I tried just about every possible way, and IMHO the only way to do it is with whole hops, pellets simply don't work in a keg. Even with the finest bag the pellets are "leaking" into the beer, make it cloudy and ruining the taste of beer. Whole...

AIH Craigslist Keg spam. Anyone else?

IMHO this is no more dishonest then any TV informacial with so called " testimonials". The price looks pretty honest to me though.

    Probiotics.

I started my probiotics "diet" before Christmas and since then I lost 22 lbs and 3 inches off my belt. My digestive system feels much better now. I simply make sure to have at least one or more servings of yogurt, buttermilk or kefir a day. Most often I just have a small glass of buttermilk with...

Specialty IPA: Black IPA Darth Vader - Black IPA

Carafa II is similar to Dark Chocolate, but Carafa II Special means "dehusked" so there is way less harsh taste to it. Try using 3/4 Chocolate and 1/4 Black Malt at late mash or just at sparging time, that will give you color with less taste. You could also make a cold "tea" with 3/4 Chocolate...
