I have been using oxi clean like the rest. Works excellent! Buy the fragrance free kind.
Some labels refuse to come off I just move on and recycle.

Has been actively fermenting for 9 days straight. Never had any beers go so strong for so long. Anything weird about this strain?
Made a wheat beer that had an OG of 1.044. Added apricot purée to secondary(didn't take a gravity reading). I read the purée would have an OG by itself is 1.036 - 1.048. So if I just took the median of 1.042.... Would it be correct to take 1.044 starting and add 1.042 to be my OG....? Is that...

Did a all grain NB kit this weekend. Their recipe states an OG of 1.044. Mine came out 1.050. Any ideas on what could create a difference? I could only assume the grain bill was overweighed when sent....
Ok, so made my first yeast starter with DME and Wyeast a couple days ago. I have a nice build up. But am now wondering if I can simply(carefully) pour off the DME wort and keep the yeast cake to pour off into my good wort? Suggestions and advice for this padawan would be appreciated!
