Show us your element housings/pots. How did you do it?

I went ahead and ordered a pair. They fit great via the welded tank spuds on both my BK & HLT.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

This is the sample I pulled and brought to our local brewery. It's our clubs 10th anniversary and we are doing a pilot batch on their 7bbl system, you could say this was the pilot for the pilot batch [emoji2] It's my current NEIPA recipe fermented with Sigmund's Voss Kveik from The Yeast Bay...

Illinois 5 gallon system for sale & Electric Brewery Panel

Was only interested if it meant I could upgrade to a 50a panel but now that I am on the tread I'll add this. If he's tested it great but regardless you should go through it with a continuity tester yourself and verify it was assembled correctly. If you had to switch out one or two components...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Right, sounds like the method above is the common home brewing approach to a whirlpool/hop stand. I'm wondering how much myrcene oils are driven off during the stand above 140f and if splitting the DH charge to add one after the wort is below 140 will have an impact. Also, If possible I would...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Thanks for linking this. I have been doing a whirlpool with the temperature held at 170°f for 30 minutes. After reading beersmith like I'll try splitting my whirlpool additions and do 15 minutes at 170 and the second at 140 for 20 minutes

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

My strike water volume is based on my batch size not grist weight. For my system the bigger the grain bill the thicker the mash should be to avoid losing efficiency (if I'm going to sparge). I learned this method from a professional and it makes brewing easier, it sounds like the same approach...

Another option is to use half barrel. Needless to say they are without a conical bottom but with this style IPA off the cake within 15 days it shouldn't be an issue. With a kit like this...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I made this short Video for a friend who was have the same issue with clogging with hops. What I'm doing differently it seems to avoid a clog is NOT using the keg posts or disconnects but vinyl tubes and hoseclamps on the out post. I'm far from a quality narrator and my discription of how I...

Yep, chlorophyll flavor and the aroma of fresh cut grass. It seems to have a way to ride over all the other controbutions of hops

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I have found more pleasing results with cold keg hopping, it seems to eliminate much of the vegetal off flavors. I recently discoved this when I split a batch into 2 kegs both had weighted hop sack in each (2.5 oz of galaxy) one was put directly into the kegerator (to get an IPA on tap) and the...
