Love the Austin Home Brew glass "Make your own Damn Beer". I used my Damn Brewery Glass in my pint pic.

Fantastic start to the New Year Gentlemen absolutely great pictures to get this post up and running again. I'd like to send the challenge to have this back up to a respectable number of pages within the 2012, so..... Here is my contribution: This is my version of a what I would call a Dark...

Well that sucks. Can you have them shipped in? The answer is to brew as many as you can, get them hooked and open your own brew supply. Think of all of the customers!!

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

I do like this grain bill and Ive read almost all of the posts Ed wrote. The Nottingham was used to keep the price down and simplicity up for an easy everyday brew, but I dont think Im going to use the Nottingham again. Ill keep the hops the same as it is very palletable to most. Thanks for the...

To be clear swamp, you've brewed a batch of this recipe using a diff yeast strain? How did it turn out?

I like the yeast suggestion for taste change but I think the dextrine malt is what you would use to change the body characteristics, correct?

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

Ive got a batch in the keg right now Ive been drinking and its great as but Im looking for a small improvement. Ive used Nothingham on many batches and have found it leaves the brew a bit thin so to speak. I guess Im looking for a little better mouth feel. As Ive said Im thinking its the...

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

I racked this beer to the sec over the weekend. This was my second a/g and I believe one of my finest brews yet (albeit the 2nd a/g). I only had 4.5gal in the primary after the boil, and I didnt top off. OG 1.052, finished at 1.006. It tasted great out of the hydro tube and will only get better.

    Beer, Hockey Injuries and Painkillers

Well.... I dont want to alarm you but I do have issues with it to this day. Doc thinks I may have torn the miniscus. I dont really know how that happened but it kinda went down hill after I ran a marathon. Needless to say my running days are over but it doesnt seem to give me much problem from...

Pepsi? Thin beer, with no head retention

I guess I should post a little more info. Yes its a Brewers Best kit (extract obviously) with white lab hefe yeast. I dont believe this would be considered green beer, after I racked it to the sec, it was bottled two weeks later and bottle conditioned for three weeks. If anything I would...

    Beer, Hockey Injuries and Painkillers

Damn, sorry to hear about the injury. I blew out an MCL too about 20 years ago. Happy to say Im still playing and still brewing. Hang in there and Im sure youll be back on the ice soon in the meantime maybe youll have to brew up some championship ale for your triumphant return to the ice!

Pepsi? Thin beer, with no head retention

What did I do? I brewed some BB Dunkelwiess, this was I think the forth time I have done this recipe. The only thing I did differently was the amount of time it stayed in the primary. I didnt have time to rack it to the sec and it stayed in for almost three weeks. Ive read alot here about that...

    Just made a Stupid mistake....

Ahh yes but sometimes those "mistakes" can be noticeably better in a good way. I write down everything, everything! Besides years from now someone may read it and get a kick out of my drunken ramblings.
