When I cold crashed my beer the temp controller caused the beer to freeze. When the beer was frozen the temp read 168. When I removed the temp probe the temp dropped to around 100. Does anyone know how to reset the controller?

I am making my first wine from a caller craft kit with the grape skins. My question is should I make a yeast starter like I do with beer. If so is the process the same as beer and should I use some I the juice concentrate that comes with the kit?

I just scored a 14cf chest freezer from Home Depot for $225 because it had a small dent on the lid. My question is should I spend the extra money for a digital external temp controller or just buy an analog one?

You should buy these three things, expensive but well worth the money. I am able to control the temperature within 1 degree. It will make a big difference in your finished beer and helps prevent off flavors...
