Hoping someone can help me out with the partial boil instructions in Brewing Classic Styles. When I'm looking at the instructions I don't understand where the ppg numbers are coming from. Are these numbers going to be the same for all steeping grains? If not where can I get these numbers for...
I'm planning on finally getting a wort chiller. I was wondering if an 8" immersion chiller would be okay to use if I'm doing a 4 gallon boil in a 5 gallon kettle. I'm worried that when I put the immersion chiller in the kettle it will cause the wort to overflow. Thanks!
