Boiled Wort, but yeast is bad!

Meh. Just keep it cold and reboil for 5 minutes and then recool and pitch on Weds. One of my best batches ever I boiled, covered, and let sit at room temp on the stove overnight once. Reboiled and cooled before pitching and it turned out fine.

Making and Canning Sterile Starter Wort

Outstanding Idea! :ban: This cuts another step out of bottling day, and you can just use less of the Canned Primer if you need fewer volumes of CO2.

    Update On My Pliny Brew

Hop bombs like this normally have 'hop haze' as well, from the extreme amount of dry hopping. It's not something you can settle out or fine away, or wait for it to clear on its own... because when it clears/fines/settles it 'is' a significant portion of the hoppiness dropping out and the beer...

    Mash tun tubing to kettle?

I'm also a recent upgrade to AG. I had the same question... was at Home Depot last night looking for higher grade tubing among other things and found a display chart tacked to the shelving. Vinyl tubing at HD was rated as FDA approved up to 175°, but only rated to a certain PSI at 70°...

Trying to formulate a Yazoo Dos Perros Clone Recipe

I took the tour at Yazoo and they seemed open and friendly. Maybe you could just take the tour and while wandering around ask for a homebrew sized recipe?

    Alpha Acid Testing

Legit as in... Someone has rented a house and set up an illegal hops testing laboratory in the basement? or Legit as in... They might take your money and run? ----------- Assuming your question is about 'illegal basement chemistry services', I wouldn't worry to much. Most of what we do here...

    New Fryer / Burner Problems

And I just confirmed that this was the solution. Put the temp probe INTO the flame (Yes, I ran outside, hooked it up, and fired it up for 3 minutes of glow in the dark blue flame goodness!) Thanks so much.

    New Fryer / Burner Problems

A light dawns! The probe was sitting just outside the flame when I first tried it, and never considered putting it actually into the flame.

    New Fryer / Burner Problems

My concern with zip tie or duct tape is one of heat. I'm not sure either of those solutions will be effective that close to the burner (But then again, I have no experience with a fryer/burner like this... so maybe I'm over thinking it)?

    New Fryer / Burner Problems

So my better half and her mom went in to get me a turkey fryer for Christmas (and to get me out of the kitchen). I'm prepping for my first brew day and also prepping an upgrade to all-grain so I'm stoked. But the Burner will not stay lit, so I'm looking for advice (Perhaps even advice on...
