    I know altitude affects boiling point, but does it affect mash temps as well?

    That's kind of where I am at too. I don't have time to make another starter if I want to brew this weekend. I just don't want to ruin the next 4 months by pitching bad things into a lager that I will be looking forward to in 4 months. I have some back up vials of lager yeast that I can use

    Yep I used that exact calculation s few days ago and came up with the same answer. It's not a big concern because I do achieve a boil. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. The main pitfall is that the boil timer doesn't activate since 100C is never reached. But I can just set it...
