This last weekend I did my first brew by myself. not only that I decided it was smart to do 2 in the same day. Needless to say it was a very long day of brewing and in the process I made a huge mistake. After pitching the yeast on both batches and putting the airlock on I realized about 5...
alright thanks for the tips. I guess I'll play the waiting game this first time around. but I did swap out my micromatic shut off valve with a check valve so I should be in good shape in case I decide to roll the keg around to speed things up.
Kegged my first beer yesterday and am wondering I you connect the co2 line into the In post on the keg or the Out post. I currently have it connected to the In post at 12psi but have read of people connecting to the Out post.
Which is the recommended method? What is the time difference...
Just saw I put
1(now)+3(later) twice.
Sub one of those for
2(now)+2(later)
So that would mean a two body regulator now and a two body regulator later
or
One body regulator now and three body regulator later
Ok Cool. It sounds like getting the more expensive micromatic is the way to go without a high pressure gauge. Now here is my second question. What combination of regulator bodies would be the best. If I assume that there are three main serving pressures that will be used, one for stout, one...
How important is the High Pressure Gauge on a Regulator? I was thinking about buying this dual pressure regulator with a high pressure gauge but if the high pressure gauge isn't really even needed or I can do without it then I might just go with a secondary regulator with multiple bodies. What...
Thanks for the help! Sounds like 20oz, 5lb, 20lb is the way to go. There is a new 20lb co2 tank on ebay now for $109 and free shipping is that a good deal? My craigslist here in saint louis is pretty bare as far as co2 tanks though. I also like the idea of filling rather than swapping a...
I'm going to start kegging my 5 gallon batches. I've already bought a reconditioned corny keg. And I'm fairly certain I'm going to get a dual gauge regulator so that I can eventually hook up two kegs and control the pressure separately. However, I'm having trouble deciding on co2 tank sizes...
