I was stationed in Mannheim Germany from 86-88 as well. Our local beer was Eichbaum. Beer was great locally. I had heard the water used to make eichbaum traveled beneath a cemetery.

Just finished a "Red light green light" Red Ale from "Device Brewing Company" Super hoppy beer with a hop flavor that was a bit butterish. My wife had "Therapist Triple IPA" from Dust Bowl Brewing Company. She looked up on the board and said, "What beer is The Rapist?" Yea the ABV was 10.5 LOL!
