    looking for pump input!

Lennie, It prime without issue. I even had it pumping the oxyclean solution through my therminator which was level with the boil kettle. The thing that I like most about this pump is how quite it is.

    looking for pump input!

I connected it directly to the kettlevalve and pumped a boiling oxyclean solution for 20 minutes through it and it ran no problem. I'll actually be brewing with it this weekend and I will post my results via YouTube.

    looking for pump input!

I have actually ordered one of these today. I plan on filming my first brew day and sharing it with you guys. That way you'll have a really good idea how it will work in a home brewery environment.

    Vienna Lager Revvy's Vienna Lager

Revvy, I'm following in your footsteps and I currently have a bock 'lagering' in my shed. I have it wrapped in a sleeping bag in order to prevent it from freezing. I plan on kegging it this spring and I have you to thank for inspiring me to do this. Cheers, Ken

    Stirstarters.com

I ordered 15 stir plates for myself and my homebrew club and I can say personally it operates as advertised. I would recommend Dan's stir plates to anyone. Cheers, Ken

Welcome and yet another SOB member here as well. I would have to agree with pcollines that the SOBS are great for local issues and questions. Cheers.

    A few inches of water...

I just want to thank you guys for listening to my diatribe and providing some feedback. The water was seems to be back up from the rain we had, it doesn't smell like sewage at all. But yes, if there is any mold or mildew I can see upon visual inspection I'm going to throw the entire bag out...

best plate chiller for gravity feed system

I picked up a Therminator two weeks ago and I cannot sing its praises henough. I actually have to restrict the flow of water because the Therminator will cool my wort to 58* as its gravity fed to my fermentor. I love it. I know its expensive, but I like knowing that what I have will work...

    A few inches of water...

So.... Water backed up into my basement as a result of some heavy rains we've been experiencing over the past 48 hours and the area where I store all my brewing ingredients and equipment was not spared. :( So my question is this, how water proof are Weyermann's bags? I had unopened sacks...

    Done gone f-ed up

And being a teaching assistant at the local university it is typically quite evident that someone has written their paper the day before its due. It's enough to drive you to drink ;) Thankfully I have a fridge full of beer to get me through stack of papers.
