I normally use a bucket, but let it rest on trub ball. It was purely my fault, and was hoping there was a way to fix it. I'm not sure I'll go back to one, as there are just too many ways it can be cracked. I know the same can be said for glass and buckets.
It's right above where the valve screws on, and I have had it for over a year now. To top it off was not using thier stand so I'm pretty sure I'm screwed.
My faster fermenter cracked at the neck. Would it be safe to fill the crack with something, and what would that be?. Thanks in advance all of your advice.
Thank you. The first half of this yeast worked really quick that's why I was worried. I'm leaving tomorrow for a week. If it doesn't take I can make my wife do it lol
I used a cultivated yeast on a avalanche clone. The yeast was from about a month ago. It was kept in a mason jar sealed in the fridge. When I pitched the yeast the temp was about 69. It's been all most 24 hours with no movement, should I pitch some regular yeast. If so what implications could...
Ok I did the could crashing, and gelatin and still cloudy as you all predicted for an IPA. Oh well it taste good and that's what's important right haha
Thank all of you so much. I'm going out of town for 2-3 weeks and I will keep in the fridge. I will also be using the gelatin before I keg. Most of the time I'm not too worried about it, but I'm doing my first IPA. I want it look really good. Once again thank all of you for your help..
Nope I haven't tried that. What do you consider good racking? I have a feeling that could be part of my problem. I keep in the closet under the stairs. So it's the Harry beer closet.
Every beer I do comes out cloudy. I use the whirfloc tabs or Irish Moss. I have gotten no results. The beers taste great, but I would like to make them look a little nicer.
