    BIAB Robobrew

Yes. Apparently, its a common problem with the version of RoboBrew I had. They have "version 3" out now.

    BIAB Robobrew

I sent mine back. I could not get it to boil 5 gallons. I set it at 216 degrees, left it for 2 hours. It never reached higher than 209 degrees. Pretty disappointed.

    Filtering finished beer

I am looking at filtering the beer I brew for clarity and longevity (but not necessarily all of the various types). My questions are these: Do you bother filtering? If so, do you cold crash prior to kegging or bottling? If you filter, what types of beer do you filter? What if any, filtering...

    Finishing Fermentation Outside The Chamber

I am in need of brewing more beer for an upcoming party but I am limited on space in the temperature controlled ferment chamber. I normally ferment around 67 degrees F and I leave a brew in the chamber at that temp to finish and clean up prior to begging/bottling. Question is this... After...

    BIAB Robobrew

Exactly what I am suggesting. I don't think the large bag will work during the boil so you have to pull it out prior to boil and use a hop sock for the hop additions.

    BIAB Robobrew

I too have a RoboBrew but haven't brewed in it yet. In researching before purchase, I noted those who were reviewing it had a lot of grain bits floating in the wert after mash and removal of the grain pipe. I plan on lining the inside of the RoboBrew and then mashing. That way when the mash...

    Bitterness adjustment in Primary

I didn't have the time to let it age too much unfortunately (5 weeks from brew to serve). I served the Porter up at a New Years Eve party (well 3 home brewed beers in total). All were a hit but the Porter was a HUGE hit. Live and learn, I guess. I am going to brew that particular Porter...

    Bitterness adjustment in Primary

I made the switch to BIAB from extract. I have brewed several batches from Pale Ale to IPA without a problem. I tried a Porter for the first time and mistakenly added the hop additions too early in the the boil. The result was an overly bitter brew going into the primary. It is drinkable (to...

    dry hopping in a keg

I am thinking of using a couple ping pong balls to float the bag at dry hopping. If I clean/sanitize them, is there any concern being in a pressurized environment?
