    Question about a Mexican Pilsner....

I currently have a Mexican Pilsner similar to Corona on day 7 in the primary and it is still fermenting like crazy. It is my first lager I have ever done and I have been able to keep it around 50-53 degrees just using outside temperature. What I'm wondering about is the recipe calls for moving...

Vanilla Bourbon Black Ale, major screw up?

FG is 1.010-1.011 and its supposed to be around 1.013. Did I majorly screw up and...

    Fruit Beer Lemon-Lime Hefe Weizen

Just go with what you have man, I made a variation of the recipe (scroll up and look at it) and be sure and add the Limeade after vigorous fermentation, let primary for 21 days minimum, and bottle condition for 21 days minimum (if you bottle) and you'll have a fine beer.

    Mini-Mash grain bag idea...

Sorry if this has already been discussed before but I was at Walmart and saw a nylon type laundry bag made by Tide that I believe was 15x18 inches and it dawned on me to use it as a reuseable mini-mash grain bag. Has anyone else used these or heard of anyone using them? Do I need to do anything...

Good call, after this vigorous, and I mean VIGOROUS fermentation completes, switch back to airlock?

    Newbie Questions...

Another thing, I just got the 3 gallon fermenter for doing these small yield Brewferm kits and I'm in no hurry of getting it empty, would it hurt to let this Kriek "age" in the primary for like 2-3 months? It's gonna be a Christmas beer for us so I am willing to wait or would I better off...

    Newbie Questions...

I've never used one, how do you set them up? Does it take special equipment or can you just use a siphon hose? Also, how do people go about getting beer out of a carboy to test gravity? A syringe or sucker of some sort?
