I bought a cheaper stock pot that has a seam in it. I would like to make the whole for my valve where the seam is. Should I avoid doing this or should I be ok? It is a concord stock pot, if that helps anyone. Thanks!

I just purchased my first co2 tank and noticed it has no hydro sticker. Will I need to get it inspected before it gets filled? Or is there a way to verify it is a new tank? I don't see anywhere on the tank itself that would imply when it was made. Thanks
