Ahhh that is a good idea. Once i get my recipe and methods to perfection (if i ever do) i will buy a keg and move onto that!
Do you have a plastic keg? And are they any good?
Do you reccommend keg with carbonation valve?

Yea i know what you are saying but it makes the cider look unclear when pouring which is a shame! I know im being picky!

I have noticed that some of my batches have sediment in bottles others dont. Ive started to use a filter sock since but is this down to anything i am doin?
Do i need to leave in secondary for longer?

I have just racked this recipe off after a week. Of of 1055 racked off at 1015 and going to bottle at 1010. Had a sneaky taste and it is amazing! Can't wait to drink it! Going to have to make another couple of batches for bbqs as it is going to be popular I think!
Cheers for your input people...
I know that people say that the longer you leave cider to develop the better it will be. Does this still stand for pasteurised cider?
Will it still improve or has pasteurisation prevented that ?

I use rapid wash which is about 40 minutes and gets to 150 degrees. No breakages yet!
Easier than using my electric hob!
Only use the bottom because i keep the bottles stood up and don't fit in the top rack.
Let me know how you get on! And good luck

I put a thermometers in my dishwasher on a rapid wash ( about 39 mins) and it reaches 150. So I pasteurise in that now!
All successful so far

I find that if you dissolve the sugar in a bit of hot water first, then add to batch before bottling it works very well. I had the same problems!
