    Plate Chiller Help

Alright so I've been brewing for a couple years. I've had my Duda Diesel 30 plate chiller for about 30ish beers. Recently I moved and wasn't able to brew for like 6 months. I attempted to sanitize everything and dry it out. But since starting to get back into it My last 2 beers were no good...

    excessive foaming

3 feet may be short, but something else must be the matter. I carbonate the same way and I have about 3-4 feet lines and don't have foam except maybe the first glass of a keg. Does the beer taste carbonated? Foam and carbonation are two different monsters. Also, consider what you did. High...

    Cascade Hops Dilemma

So my friend grew cascade hops in his backyard and wanted me to brew something for him with them. I have one question. With homegrown hops how do I know the AA%? Or do I just wing it? Any advice? The picture is of the hops. Those are gallin size and over a pound in total.

    Post-infection Nuking

I only have had one weird infection. I threw out all cheap tubing and bleached everything else in warm water for 5 min. then rinsed very well. Rinsing is key. Brewed twenty times since then no problems.

I need an IPA recipe help, please

I generally run about mid-70s in the eff. Larger beers I get 72ish, but smaller beers I can get ~77%. I don't know the AA% of the Centennial, but the Magnums are 14.5% AA. I do prefer drier IPA's with a lot of aroma. However, I am willing to experiment as well. I don't really care about OG. I...

I am trying to make a tangerine wheat beer. I have the wheat beer in the primary for already 2 weeks. I know it's about time to add some sort of fruit. The problem is last year I attempted to make a strawberry blonde, and when I added the fruit, fermentation started once again and I lost all the...

All Grain Newb- Sparging and Final Product

You should also take some readings during lautering. I typically take around 4. One at the beginning, two in the middle and one final preboil reading. Three main things. 1 how is your crush? 99% of efficiency issues have to do with that. 2 how are your temps (both sparge and mash)? 3. How fast...

    Ministry and beer

When I hosted a bible study in my fraternity. We used to have beer and bible nights. To get the guys to actually come I would buy a 12 pack and tell them free beer. Then we would study the word.
