Glass of my first wine kit, a Gewurztraminer. Took a sample for tasting and degassing test. Tastes great already! (But does need more degassing.) I'm bottling later this week. It's actually perfectly clear--that haze is condensation from the cold glass.

Ok, I'm like 2 miles from Rochester Mills brewing company, I go there 3 or 4 times a year, buy their brew in local stores and in 10 years here have never seen or even heard of their English Toffee! Where on Earth are you finding these elusive brews? [emoji23] Lol [emoji23]

This came out of their 12 days of Christmas sampler. Still working on those [emoji23] 4 left. Are you right in town Rochester or do they have a separate production facility? I grew up in Rochester Hills and Lake Orion

I'm in Rochester Hills, right on the border of Rochester. The Mills Brewery is pretty much across the street from the Olde Town post office if you remember that, on University. I understand they have a production company somewhere close, I think in Auburn Hills? I've lived in Rochester Hills 10 years but grew up in Romeo. We used to play Lake Orion in football. And I worked out at the GM plant in Lake Orion for a couple of years.

It comes out every year. I’ve got like 4yr vertical and a ton of last years so drinking what doesn’t fit in the cellar!
Your stores must be alot better than the ones around Rochester Hills. I only saw Third Coast 1 time in 1 store in Ferndale off of Woodward and 9 mile. I liked it so much I figured I'd save the last 2 for a really crappy day, like nukes about to fall [emoji23]

For the whiskey drinkers, what do you suggest as the best whiskey under $25? Under $50?

So hard to answer. Everyone has different tastes and it depends on how you are looking to drink it. Do you like weaker or stronger, wheated , Rye, rocks, mixer, straight up, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

Though I don't drink any liquor anymore for more than 15 years, I was a whiskey man for a loooooong time. I've tried tons of whiskeys all over the world in my military travels..I still think the best in the world is Crown Royal and Chivas Regal. But then, there are alot more choices out there now , just like beer, than what was available back in the day. Just like when I was 18 in the army. To me there was no better beer in the world than Strohs and Moosehead. Then I was stationed in Germany...what a shock to discover "real" beer...Hefeweizen, Aventinus, Rauchbier...that like everyone else, I'd been Hoodwinked, run amok, led astray. To each his own because each person has a totally individual taste.

I figured it was a complex question! Strong, nightcap, straight up. I do like bourbon better than scotch but maybe I’ve never had a good scotch!

Just find out for yourself! In moderation of course. People today pine for all these new fangled brands of liquors. Like Kettle One or Grey Goose or Tito's...Russians been making vodka for I'm sure close to a thousand years or more. I want a vodka, I'll take Smirnoff. Just my 2¢
