Any ideas for heating a small plastic enclosure? I have temp controller for my UDS charcoal smoker that will not function below 20 deg f. I found a small enclosure that can house the controller and seal the wires. Now how do I heat it? Maybe the controller itself will put off enough heat?

I saw the guys on brewing tv use a hair drier wired to a temp controller believe it or not. Check out the "bad ass brewery"episode at northernbrewer.com/brewingtv

That might work. Or size a resistor I guess. Maybe I keep it simple and throw a hand warmer oxygen activated pack in for cold nights? Will those last 8hrs?

I think it might be fine. I plugged it in and closed it up for about 30 minutes. It heated itself from 60 to 72.
