Carboy exploded while i was at work!

So my brother text me while I was working, saying one of my carboys from my 15 gallon batch exploded. What a mess to clean up, I think i learned to hate whole leaf hops.... or love boiling bags. I'll post pics after i clean the mess.

Oh jeez. I can only imagine...

Yeah they clogged the spigot on my pot yesterday, so i used my auto-siphon to pump it through. It clogged it and broke while i was trying to unclog it. I had to tip the pot to pour into funneled carboys while it was still hot. I ended up chilling them in my bathtub and kegerator. A lot of other speed bumps as well, including the cops being called for a "meth lab" in the picnic area. This is the worst brewing episode so far for me.

You were brewing in a public location? I'm just invisioning single white male at a playground full of kids brewing within sight of soccer moms. Hmmm, soccer moms...

It's really a BBQ area at my apartment complex. The only thing playing there are my dogs running around. The shelf above that carboy was completely coated in hop leaves.
