I prepared a starter 24 hrs ago with 2/3 cup dme and 1 qt water. The solution was boiled for 20 min then ice quenced and was at 70 deg about 15 min later. I pitched a vial of WLP001 california ale yeast that was at the same temp. I put the stopper in the flask and an airlock. Have not noticed a thing. no bubbles, no krauzen, no increase in the amount of yeast. I have done this exact same thing the last 3 batches and all of them took off within a couple hours. What are my options, what should the FG be it already did its thing? Can i just add another vial to this starter. I plan my very first AG pale ale tomorrow.
