okay, another question from a noob! i'm thinking of getting a stir plate and making a good starter for my next batch. my question is this: AHS lists the Brewvint Yeast Fuel under YEAST NUTRIENTS (the same you normally add to the wort i suppose). would it be okay to just break the Yeast Fuel pill open and add to the starter wort when you boil it, or does it need to be a specific measured amount? the articles i've read about starters show you how to calculate the DME-water ratios and how to calculate the yeast, but i haven't seen one that said the yeast nutrients had to be any specific ratio. what is standard practice for adding yeast nutrients?
thanks.
thanks.
