So my smack pack popped today it's still inflated and rock hard. However there is yeast on the counter top and on the floor. Any way to safe this? I have another one that I plan on using for this batch but looking for opinions!

Not sure the liquid is gone

And if you swirl it up does it seem like there's liquid? Honestly, if it did pop and yeast did come out of it, and you're not ready to use it right now you can either dump it or make a yeast starter with it. Don't see many other options to maintain the viability.

I smacked another one and used that. It was the oddest think. I squeezed the popped one and saw where it blew out there was no liquid when I opened it.

The yeast should be kept refrigerated until a few hours before pitching or to make a starter. Did this one blow soon after coming out of the refrigerator?
