Wyeast and white lab strains

In researching the me malty sight it shows which breweries yeasts are from many of which are the same. However something is t right there as if you look at temp thresholds of the yeasts many are different. Case in point wlb 028 and wyeast 1728. Both come from mcewans however one wlb does not ferment below 65 and Wyeast ferments down to 55?

Has the mr malty info become stale?
 
Stale? I don't think so. You will find slight temperature discrepancies amongst many of the same "strains" and the manufacturers recommendations. Remember they are recommendations not absolutes
