Curious if anyone has used a wine refrig for primary ferment of lagers? Instead of putting an external thermostat on a regular fridge I was thinking that a good sized wine fridge would be a good cooler. They look like many will hold temps anywhere from 45 - 65 degrees. Have seen quite a few on craigslist for cheap. Does anyone use these?

I got a wine refrigerator off craigslist for free because the internal temperature controller stopped working. Plugged it into an external one and it works fine for me.

I use mine for lagering @ 31-32F with an external thermo. The built in one did not get cold enough nor was it very accurate.
