Anyone try making cider with whole fruit in lieu of juice? I'm planning a hard cider using chopped and boiled apples instead of straight juice. In my head it should work. My current concern is I have a 5 gallon set up and if I use whole fruit I'm going to lose a significant volume in my fermenter. Can I do two batches and combine them in the secondary? Thanks in advance
 
Follow up question; If I use a sugar amalgam with water. Have my fruit in a must bag and use peptic enzym. Would this work?
