Im planning a simple beer on Sunday. Im going to mash in my 20 gallon spike. I have four pounds of fresh hops i plan to throw in during whirpool. Does anyone have experience with this quantity of fresh hops, and how effective the whirlpool is to prevent the hops from clogging the pump system?

I ended up buying some muslin bags to keep the cones from being sucked into the pump.

Im glad I added all the hops. The hop taste is there, but it comes off a bit delicate and not in your face.

I used verdant for this. Anecdotally, there is more fruit flavor in here than I expected, so I guess the whole thiol thing is real.
