Hey all,

Long time lurker, first time poster here!

Tomorrow morning, I am brewing my 10th batch of beer. I started with an Asheville Brewers Supply wheat beer recipe and modified it to what I think will be a pretty bitchin' wheat IPA / hoppy hefe. My big question - is 2 oz of Simcoe and 1 oz of Sorachi Ace going to overpower the malts? Here's the recipe:

3.3lb Pilsen LME
3 lb Northwestern Weizen DME
.5 lb Durst pilsner malt
.5 lb wheat malt
1 oz simcoe (bittering)
1 oz simcoe (bittering/flavor)
1 oz sorachi ace (aroma)
WLP 400 (already chugging away in a starter)

50 minute boil - hop additions at 50, 40, 15

Should I cut the second hop addition in half and use the rest of the simcoe for flavor, or just set it aside for another brew? Thoughts and comments appreciated! Cheers!:mug:
