I'm thinking of entering a black rye IPA recipe I have in an upcoming homebrew competition. This competition uses the BJCP style guidelines and I'm having trouble thinking of what category I should enter it in. 34 C Experimental seems like the only fit, but I'm worried about it getting lost in the shuffle there. Is there a more specific category I should enter it in? The competition does have the 21 B specialty IPA category. Would that be a better fit?

its a black IPA unless you didnt do it right and the hops aren't the cornerstone of the beer

experimental is for like PB stouts

Yeah in specialty IPA, there are further sub divisions. White Black Red Belgian Rye, basically everything but 100% brett IPAs
