I don't know how embarrassing it is, but it's odd.

Steve Earle - Copperhead Road.

It really should have been the theme song to that show Moonshiners that is running on TV at the moment. I love that show, if only to see the two brothers that distill together screw up dang near everything they lay their hands on.

Jazz is Dead.

Satisfies both my need to listen to progressive jazz and the Grateful Dead.

what a stressed-out antisocial mood ... some of the stuff I'm listening to ain't doin it. Not helpful. Good thing I got away from the habit of going to bars when I ought to be in a "keep head down and mouth shut" pattern ... Some kind of "age brings wisdom" thing.

so ... this album is an excellent antidote ... Fairport Convention - Liege & Lief - (Come All Ye)

... this is a FINE old album. Only downside is most British Isles music (celtic ... English folk ... Ska ... Irish Traditional etc) makes me very thirsty. Great music anyhow.

edit ... as if to fan the fire, the video to the whole album is not able to be embedded per the owner on youtube. WTF is the matter with some people. Man ...
Here is just the link to the whole album, still worth checking out ...

Muddy Waters Plantation Recordings...good old raw Delta Blues straight from the cotton field...before the Blues were even a commercial genre.

I'm a little late with this post, but Saturday night while I was kegging a robust porter, I had the college station on and it was like the DJ found my old tape collection: Jesus & Mary Chain, Liz Phair, Ramones, Pavement, Talking Heads, theme song from The Kids In the Hall, Psychedelic Furs, Guided by Voices, the Replacements, OLD BoDeans (a big deal around Milwaukee) etc. It was so awesome I had to email the DJ to tell her.

I'm breakin' outta my body, & flyin' awaaaaaaAAAAY like a bat outta hell! This guy's got some serious lung power!

Listened to some Led Zepplin last night. The important point is not that I listened to LZ (Which was just perfect for the wife and I while we did our evening activities), but that after removing ALL the Amazon apps, or disabling them, I was able to listen from my phone without the extremely aggravating skipping effect.

I've had this problem pretty much since I got this phone a while back. I've gone through three of them and they all had the same problem. Lucky I took a few minutes to research. My Moto Razr M is seemingly cured of this poxy curse! How Amazon hasn't been burned at the stake for this egregious transgression I have no clue.

Tonight: Hayseed Dixie! Maybe some Here Come the Mummies, or Rhonda Larson!
