Johnson Boys by the Barn Owls.

I stumbled onto this band via Pandora...a channel I'd made using Scythian as a base. Looks like they just play locally at Iowa barn dances, which just blows me away. They are so good with traditional folk/celtic tunes, taking the melodies into unexpected territories. They aren't on Itunes, but had some CD's on Amazon. I ordered them kind of blind and have NOT been disappointed.

They are amazing. Plug them into Pandora and see what you get...put in "Texas Gals" and "Little Rabbit" by them. Good Lawd...

Brewing a Kolsch with the Scorpions. The first band I saw live and I don't think I could hear properly for several days afterwards.

DTP, Epicloud album. Earlier, I was jamming out to Agalloch, The Mantle album. Not sure what's next...

Right now listening to Johnny Cash and wondering why I understand his every word....

Still listening to the fan in my computer. If I wasn't, would be listening to Little Wayne or Trevor Hall. Ha!

Who or what??

Haha.. I meant Trevor Hall. That probably doesn't answer your question either.

Little Wayne - Heavy duty rapper. I'm not much into rap but the guy comes up with some great lines.

Trevor Hall, I guess his music would be considered Reggae.

I'm not into either and wouldn't have known either before my daughter introduced me to their music.

The guy on our awesome college station, WMSE, turned me on to a 1980 release from Simple Minds called "Empires and Dance." It was from way before they did the pop records and Breakfast Club stuff and, instead, it's some of the best electronica I've ever heard. I put it up there with early New Order, Kraftwerk, Cause & Effect, Depeche Mode, etc.

Depeche Mode- Personal Jesus... no, not embarrassed about it... awesome song...

Now the original Johnny Cash version of Personal Jesus. Maybe tomorrow I'll have time to listen to the Marylin Manson version.
