Hey,

So this is my first year growing hops and I don't have a ton so I want to use them all in a wet hop ipa. I just got back from vacation and found that my hops are starting to show a good amount of brown which I've read is indicative that they are ready to harvest. My schedule is such that I won't be able to brew this beer for another 3 days but I feel like I should harvest the hops before they over ripen and I lose them.

If I were to harvest them and put them in ziplock bags, how long would they stay 'wet' in the ziplock bags? I'd need them to last 2 days in the bags.

Thanks!

No. Wet Hops need to be used in 24 hours. 48 if you want to push the limits. Also, placing them in bags or plastic containers will make them 'sweat' and go bad faster on you. Your better off leaving them until you are ready if it is only a couple days away
