I just finished my first brew yesterday with a Bass clone kit from a LHBS. After finishing up I wanted to check to see if my hydrometer readings were what they should be (measured 1.050) when I realized the recipe I had listed the pale LME in quarts instead of by weight (LME was supplied in quart containers). Playing around with a beer calculator it seems that with my reading it should equal out to 1 quart of pale LME weighing about 3 pounds. Can anyone confirm this or tell me if I am way off?

Thanks,
Jason

I did a quick google and found that "very approximately" 1 c. LME is 12.1oz, so 1 Qt ~= 48.4oz ~= 3lbs. Looks like u got it right
