Ad a hard violent fermentation 8 hours after putting in carboy saved it from repainting bathroom my installing blow off tube. Fermentation went on for three more days. Now nothing. Is batch ruined? Can it be saved?

Yeah yeah yeah. Love spell check when in hurry

Probably was a little warm and finished, let it sit two weeks and take a gravity reading

Server shut down while typing.

If you secondary you can move it now and take a reading, no need to worry. Depending on your OG it is very possible to have completely fermented out, I had one get near 80 and was finished in 3 days.

A violet beer would seem pretty unique.Non violent-violet of course.
Fermentation often only takes a number of days, bottle it in a few weeks. My guess is you had it warm? You want it mid low 60's fementing generally, you happen to notice your temps,if you had it high i would let it sit for at least 2-3 more weeks.

Look out for chill haze. It's an experience. Purple FTW.

PS - don't do drugs

Violets might actually be a tasty addition to a brew!

There are edible flowers,i forget which, but i recall having some rose ice cream in the PNW when i use to live there. It would make brewing interesting especially since hops often contribute a "floral" character.Im shure its been done,i just have never tried it. Sounds interesting for late additions or dryhopping really.
