I found a free video editing program and thought I'd try it out, these are some videos of us removing a steam locomotive "tire" and turning it on our 96" Niles-Bement-Pond wheel lathe. 12 of them all-together, each re-profiled and then put back on.

For you Railfans out there...

Anybody happens to visit The Cass Scenic Railroad anytime soon, just ask for Otis and I'll give you the nickle shop tour for free!

I have been to the Strasburg PA railroad museum, so cool. Saw the guys working on the chamber of a steam engine. Neat to see the inside with all the steam tubes. The turntable (turnaround?) was neat too. We took a steam engine ride (actually took a longer one at Jim Thorpe PA) and got to go into a lot of old trains. Like going back in time. Amasing to me all that metal...that weight!

Awesome! I love Cass. We get a house there about every year. I'll try to swing by and find you when we go this summer.
