The last time this idea came up, it was part of some bill which was wrapped up with all sorts of political nonsense which half of the congress would not vote on, and so goes politics. I do hope this can come about without politics so that us yanks may use USPS. They are my preferred method of shipping, as they are much less expensive than the big corporations and (at least from my experience) just as reliable.
