As a kid, what were there things you did each year, every year - that you did only at that one specific time?

Things you looked forward to ... or that let you know the season had changed.
What traditions, both little and big, do you do in your family now?

Not just things like a vacation in summer to some particular place, but especially the things that occurred at one specific time during the year. Both traditions and chores. Both big and small.

Well, let's see...We used to go out to these big tree farms to cut a fresh Christmas tree. Our kids thought that was the coolest thing ever. we also went as a family to pick Blueberries, strawberries, cherries, etc in season. We'd get to the flea market for fresh veggies, shop around for bargains too. Then of course,to Keislowski's booth for some Cheese lil kolaci. Or maybe an Italian sausage sammich with all the trimmings. We'd get cukes & jalepenos To make pickles & bacon wrapped stuffed peppers in the bbq pit.
We went fishing as a family to fill as many containers as we could with fish that got filleted & frozen with the berries.
