Thoughts on my trellis

Two beds 4'x8' One with Cascade the other with Chinook. the flag pole is 23' tall. The other bed is 12'x4' and will grow up and cover the deck railings. Those will be Nugget.

Do you have a photo? As long as everything gets excellent sun and wind, you should be good.

My concerns are a tangled mess at the top of flag pole? Anyone experience this type of set up?

It will be a mess near the top. Not really a big deal as long as you keep the varieties separate you are going to cut the top off anyhow for harvest. They might go the full 23" but doubt it.

Why not put some eye bolts into the deck just under the railing and lead the shoots up?

Yes that is the plan there. I'm also putting up some lattis to fill the gap. thanks for your input. I was more concerned with the flag pole set up.

Here is an update. Everything is doing really well! These are all first year (Chinook, Cascade, & Nugget)
