just noticed that the second one comes with a beer kit whereas the first does not

does the beer kit make a big difference in deciding on which one? because one is a little more but comes with the kit

Beer kit costs about $20-$40, usually. See what its worth, and if you were going to buy a kit anyways, hey, why not? If you were going to skip kits altogether and go straight to all-grain, it could be a bit of a waste.

I think the one that includes the kit is more meant as a gift, which doesn't mean you can't gift it to yourself.
