Test batch ratio

Hey guys,
When making a test batch can I divide ingredients proportionally to the test size vs. recipe total?

For example, if I want to make a 1/2 gallon test batch based on a 5gal recipe do I just add 1/10 of each ingredient?
I know sometimes recipes don't scale and represent actual recipe finished product.

Yes. Except for yeast. You may need to use more yeast, proportionately, than in a 5 gallon batch. Use, say, 1/2 package for a 2 gallon batch.
