Ok--cant find the answer to this one on a search. I got a wild hair and decided to brew two beers at once. One is the normal 5.5gallon in a plastic ale pail. The other is a 4.5gallon in a 5gallon glass carboy (I know its going to blow off and that is taken care of). Both are using US-05. I have one temp controller and they are in the same fridge. My question is--which should I attach the temp probe to. In my mind I can logically justify putting the temp probe on either one but just need some advice from the experts so they ferment correctly. If one is higher gravity, with all other things being equal, it may ferment more actively, so I'd put the probe on that one.
