Santa brought an new Tap-A-Daft system for Christmas! I am definitely going to try using the tap as-is (have a Nut Brown Ale just waiting for it). But I am already thinking about future modifications. one thought is leave the tap fully open and use a male/male hose barb to run an extension line out to a real tap for some flexibility. I think this would come in handy (especially with stouts where you could employ a restrictor plate and flow straightener...) Has anyone done something like this? Any pitfalls? I realize that molded-in the output tube is pretty short, and not that big in diameter, (that's what she said!!!!) but it seems you can fit a correctly sized hose barb in there if you leave the installed tap fully open or remove it altogether...
