So I've had this swamp cooler working for almost a week now, and the temperature seems to have stayed in between 48 and 52 for the entire time. Once or twice a day I have been adding one or two frozen water bottles, aka cooling rods. I'm checking the temperature of the water with a laser infrared thermometer several times a day. I believe the secret to it's success is the enerflex (I've been doing some side jobs over the winter installing this stuff in people's attics) pieces that I have on 5 sides of the swamp cooler, keeping the internal temperature stable.
