Even the title is mispelled...this IS the place for YOU.

Brought it down to 39f with ice and ice packs prior to Saturday bottling - it will not go any lower. Am I wasting my time or will this help make a beer more "better"?

Your beer will be what it will be...as far as I know cold crashing doesn't affect the taste of the beer just the clarity

I second Sammy's comment.

I typically just try to place my carboy where I will be racking from the evening before bottling day and let it settle at room temp.

My beers usually clear up nicely with post carbonation chilling whether bottle conditioned or kegged.
