Super chunky wyeast 1968 (London esb) starter

Have never seen such big chunks of yeast in any of my starters.

I had the same "what the hell!?!" moment a few weeks ago. Like the others said, totally normal. Mine was a full 2L starter and it looked like swirling egg flower soup!

Beer was fine. Mine ended sweeter than I normally like, but that was my fault with the mash temp.

I always call WLP002 my "cottage cheese yeast strain", because it looks like cottage cheese on the stir plate. 1968 is very similar that way!

Yep, I brewed an ESB a few weeks ago with this strain and looks normal to me...
