storage of fresh Tennessee hops

I was just recently at the appalachian fair and found a vine of hops. I don't know the verity. Well I picked a small paper bag of.them. right now I have them in the paper bag inside a zip lock bag stored in my freezer. Is this a good way to store them?

The best way to store hops is to boil in some wort for 60 min. Then after some time fermenting put it in bottles

Probably should have dried them first. Then try to store in freezer in vacuum if possible. Now that they're in the freezer I would just try to find a use for them in the next month or so.

I wouldn't boil for 60 either, maybe 5 to 20 minutes or you'll lose all aroma they had.

I was thinking using them for just aroma. I didn't get more than an ounce. Just wish that I could identify what kind they are
